This role is perfect for someone who brings positive energy to every interaction and enjoys helping guests unwind with great food, drinks, and games. As part of our closing team, you’ll help create a welcoming and fun atmosphere throughout the evening while ensuring the café is set up for success the next day.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Shifts are subject to be scheduled between 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Hours: Full-time
- Availability: Evening and weekend availability is required
What You’ll Do:
As a Closing Barista / Game Guide, you’ll play a key role in both guest experience and end-of-day operations:
Barista & Service Excellence:
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with consistency and care
- Handle busy evening rushes while maintaining a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Take orders, run food and drinks, and ensure guests have a smooth, enjoyable experience
Guest Experience & Game Guidance:
- Create a fun, inclusive environment where guests feel welcomed and engaged
- Recommend board games and retail products based on guest interests
- Help make The Gnoshery a go-to destination for a great night out
Closing Responsibilities:
- Clean, sanitize, and reset the bar and café areas at the end of the night
- Restock products and prepare the space for the next day’s opening team
- Follow closing checklists to ensure all tasks are completed thoroughly and efficiently
- Work with your team to ensure a smooth and organized close
We’re Looking For:
- Experience in barista, food service, or retail roles
- Is friendly, outgoing, and naturally engaging
- Creates a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests
- Has strong communication and customer service skills
- Is reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Enjoys working evenings and being part of a lively, social environment
Preferred (but not required):
- Board game knowledge
- Collectible Card Game knowledge
- RPG knowledge
