The Gnoshery, a lively board game café with a full-service kitchen, is looking for a Full-Time Opening Cook to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in consistency and detail, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, customer-focused team.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Ideal availability would be Tuesday through Thursday
- Hours: 32–40 hours per week
- Availability: Weekend availability required
What You’ll Do:
As a Cook at The Gnoshery, you’ll play a key role in wrapping up daily kitchen operations and setting the next day up for success, including:
- Preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards
- Assisting with daily kitchen operations, including prep work and opening duties
- Maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation across all menu items
- Following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Keeping workstations clean, organized, and stocked
- Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Delivering a welcoming and positive guest experience
- Assisting with special menu items and daily features as needed
Who You Are:
- Has prior kitchen experience (required)
- Is reliable, punctual, and comfortable working early morning shifts
- Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Is a team player who communicates effectively
- Is detail-oriented and takes pride in their work
