You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes guests, the skilled artisan behind their favorite beverages, and the knowledgeable guide who helps them discover the joy of tabletop gaming. At the end of the day, you’ll be the one the families remember when they play the games you recommended or when they think of The Gnoshery and Gnome Games.
What You’ll Do:
As a Barista / Game Guide, you’ll wear two exciting hats:
Barista Excellence:
- Craft and serve a full menu of coffee, tea, and other beverages with speed and precision.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, handling transactions with a friendly demeanor.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Provide outstanding customer service, anticipating needs and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining the overall cleanliness of our cafe space.
Game Guide Adventures:
- Engage with customers to recommend and sell tabletop games from our retail selection.
- Manage retail operations, including stocking shelves, inventory, and point-of-sale transactions.
- Become an expert on our extensive game library, guiding customers through game selection.
- Most importantly, teach games! You’ll simplify complex rules, lead engaging sessions, and ensure everyone has a fantastic time learning and playing.

No prior barista or extensive game knowledge? No problem! We believe that passion and personality are the most important ingredients. We’ll provide comprehensive training on everything you need to know about crafting delicious drinks and teaching our wide variety of games.

Benefits and Pay
Pay for the Barista / Game Guide position is between $14 – $18 / Hour plus tips based on business impact.
Both Full time and part time (weekend and evenings) positions are available. These are year round positions and The Gnoshery does not do seasonal layoffs.
