DESCRIPTION:OP-16 is here and The Gnoshery is ready to play! Are you? It’s time for battle!\nEntry: $30 +tax\nSaturday\, June 8th at 2pm\nMax. Capacity: 16 \nOne Piece Sealed events consist of 6 booster packs given to each player during a deck-building phase of the tournament. Each player brings 10 DON!! and may either utilize the leader card given as part of entry\, a leader card pulled from one of the packs\, or a leader they bring from home. Unlike standard play\, you can ignore the normal deck building color restrictions based on your leader and can include cards of any color in your deck\, and there are additional special rules for deckbuilding. \nAfter opening 6 packs\, players build a 40-card deck\, and a 10 DON!! card deck. There are no banned or restricted cards\, and players can include as many copies of cards with the same card number as they like. Cards left over from deck construction are considered sideboard cards. \nAfter deck construction\, players will participate in a 3 round tournament.  Each round you win\, you win a pack of OP-16 as a prize! \nParticipation promos go out to every player during the first round\, and the winner gets a winner stamped card! \nPlayers must register for this event through Bandai TCG+ here. \n*Prices are subject to change

Cards with “H\,” “I\,” and “J” regulation marks will be legal to use (as will any future regulation marks that may be released). A card’s legality status is not based on which expansion it’s from. Even if a card is from a recently released expansion\, players will need to refer to the regulation mark on the bottom of the card to see whether that card is legal for play. DESCRIPTION:Cody Walinski learned to play Pokémon at Gnome Games with Pat and Paula\, and went on to play in many big Pokémon tournaments\, including the World Championships! \nCody will be stopping by The Gnoshery on Saturday\, June 13th from 9am-11am. Have questions on what it’s like to play at the top level of the Pokémon Trading Card Game? Curious about what it takes to make it to the top? Join the Gnomes at The Gnoshery and chat with Cody! \nHis 2016 World Championship Deck\, Ninja Blitz\, was even made into an official product by Pokémon! \nYou don’t need to be a champion to play Pokémon\, all it takes is the heart of a Pokémon trainer and some cards! Join us each Saturday for Pokémon Club\, but especially for this special event with our special guest! \nNinja Blitz is the name of the deck used by Cody Walinski\, who was the runner-up of the Masters Division in the 2016 World Championships. It is one of the four 2016 World Championships Decks\, released in November 2016\, and is based on the Greninja BREAK archetype.\nFrom the booklet included with his deck: \nCody’s most memorable moment came during the semifinals\, when he defeated one of the veterans of the Pokémon World Championships with three Knock Outs in a single turn to advance to the finals! He really enjoyed “seeing a lot of unique decks have success” this year\, and he was particularly proud of “my own success with a deck that was deemed inconsistent and irrelevant.” When he’s not playing Pokémon\, Cody enjoys pickup basketball. He seems to have a good sense of humour about his second place finish—after all\, he says\, “Ash doesn’t win tournaments with Greninja either.”
