Crack open a Build & Battle kit\, craft a deck\, and see how you do in a 3 round Swiss style tournament! All participants get 3 packs of Perfect Order at the end for playing. Players have 30 minutes to build their decks. Rounds are 30 minutes\, best of one. \nEach Build & Battle Kit contains 4 Mega Evolution – Perfect Order Booster Packs and a 40-card ready-to-play deck. These also contain one of four unique foil promo cards for Pokémon like Mega Zygarde ex\, Mega Clefable ex\, Mega Starmie ex\, and Meowth ex. Discover them in the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Perfect Order expansion! \nIn the Prerelease format\, players compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play\, as opposed to a 60-card deck with six Prize cards. Depending on which promo card you get\, you could be playing with the royal Serperior\, the handy hero Barbaracle\, the tyrannical Tyrantrum\, or the sword-flashing Doublade. \n\n\n\n\nSerperior\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe intimidating\, yet majestic Lord of the Forest’s Regal Command attack rewards Trainers who keep a full Bench by doing 20 damage for each of your Pokémon in play. While that may be difficult to attain in the early game\, Serperior rewards patience—and has direct synergy with Rosa’s Encouragement. With this Supporter card in your discard pile\, damage done by Solar Coiling is boosted to 250 total—which spells devastation for many of your opponents in a Prerelease match. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKeep an eye out for the Forest of Vitality Stadium card\, which will help put Serperior into play much faster. Plus\, Shaymin can use its Send Flowers attack to find Growing  Energy\, which you can attach to Serperior to boost its HP by 20. Since Serperior has a lot of late-game utility\, a little extra HP will surely be helpful. \n\n\n\n\nBarbaracle\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ve got to hand it to Barbaracle (though arguably it has plenty of those already)—it’s got a rock-solid Ability in Stone Arms to accelerate  Energy from your hand to one of your  Pokémon. This makes Barbaracle an integral part of a Mega Zygarde ex deck\, since its comparatively high-cost attacks can use all the Energy acceleration they can get. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nRocky  Energy is a Fighting-type Pokémon’s best friend—it protects the Pokémon it’s attached to from any effects of the opponent’s attacks. This will keep Barbaracle armed against effects like Klefki’s Memory Lock. Landorus is an addition that opens up some flexibility in your Energy attachment\, since its Screw Knuckle attack allows you to put an Energy attached to it back into your hand. \n\n\n\n\nTyrantrum\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnother Pokémon that benefits greatly from Rocky  Energy is Tyrantrum. Its Tyrannically Gutsy Ability boosts Tyrantrum’s HP from 180 to 330 if it has a Special Energy attached\, which makes it a single-Prize tank worthy of a king’s crown. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo get Tyrantrum to its throne on the battlefield\, you need to get Antique Jaw Fossil into play first\, so deck-searching Supporter cards like Team Rocket’s Petrel and Drayton are critical inclusions. Tyrantrum’s Wreak Havoc attack allows you to flip a coin until you get tails\, discarding the top card of your opponent’s deck for each heads. Enhanced Hammer amps up the chaos by discarding a Special Energy attached to one of your opponent’s Pokémon\, disrupting opportunities for counterplay. \n\n\n\n\nDoublade\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn the Prerelease format\, there’s no limit to the number of copies of a Pokémon you can have in your deck—so you could include six\, maybe seven copies of Honedge\, Doublade\, or Aegislash to maximize your damage output when Doublade attacks with Weaponized Swords.

Better yet\, each round you win earns you a Pokémon Prize Pack! So don’t wait\, grab a deck and be the very best (like no one ever was) to start your Pokémon adventure today! \nThis event welcomes players of all ages and skill levels. \n____________________________________________ \n \nWith Standard format rotating soon\, a reminder:\nFor in-person Play! \n\nCards with the “G” regulation mark will no longer be legal for play in the 2026 Standard format. Cards with “H\,” “I\,” and “J” regulation marks will be legal to use (as will any future regulation marks that may be released). A card’s legality status is not based on which expansion it’s from. Even if a card is from a recently released expansion\, players will need to refer to the regulation mark on the bottom of the card to see whether that card is legal for play. New cards still must follow the appropriate waiting period to become tournament legal\, which is typically two weeks after their release. \nPokemon Information  \n

Players get 3 packs at the end of the tournament just for participating! \nEach deck is set up for instant play and contains one of four unique foil promo cards based on the deck you get! DESCRIPTION:  \n \nWhether you’re a new trainer looking to start your Pokémon TCG journey\, an experienced player trying a new deck\, or a player looking to practice before a League Cup\, this tournament is the perfect way to try out the Pokémon TCG’s Standard Format. Better yet\, each round you win earns you a Pokémon Prize Pack! So don’t wait\, grab a deck and be the very best (like no one ever was) to start your Pokémon adventure today! \nThis event welcomes players of all ages and skill levels. \n____________________________________________ \n \nWith Standard format rotating soon\, a reminder:\nFor in-person Play! \n\nCards with the “G” regulation mark will no longer be legal for play in the 2026 Standard format. Cards with “H\,” “I\,” and “J” regulation marks will be legal to use (as will any future regulation marks that may be released). A card’s legality status is not based on which expansion it’s from. Even if a card is from a recently released expansion\, players will need to refer to the regulation mark on the bottom of the card to see whether that card is legal for play. New cards still must follow the appropriate waiting period to become tournament legal\, which is typically two weeks after their release. \nPokemon Information  \n

SUMMARY:Meet the Pokémon World Champion Player - Cody!
DESCRIPTION:Cody Walinski learned to play Pokémon at Gnome Games with Pat and Paula\, and went on to play in many big Pokémon tournaments\, including the World Championships! \nCody will be stopping by The Gnoshery on Saturday\, June 13th from 9am-11am. Have questions on what it’s like to play at the top level of the Pokémon Trading Card Game? Curious about what it takes to make it to the top? Join the Gnomes at The Gnoshery and chat with Cody! \nHis 2016 World Championship Deck\, Ninja Blitz\, was even made into an official product by Pokémon! \nYou don’t need to be a champion to play Pokémon\, all it takes is the heart of a Pokémon trainer and some cards! Join us each Saturday for Pokémon Club\, but especially for this special event with our special guest! \nNinja Blitz is the name of the deck used by Cody Walinski\, who was the runner-up of the Masters Division in the 2016 World Championships. It is one of the four 2016 World Championships Decks\, released in November 2016\, and is based on the Greninja BREAK archetype.\nFrom the booklet included with his deck: \nCody’s most memorable moment came during the semifinals\, when he defeated one of the veterans of the Pokémon World Championships with three Knock Outs in a single turn to advance to the finals! He really enjoyed “seeing a lot of unique decks have success” this year\, and he was particularly proud of “my own success with a deck that was deemed inconsistent and irrelevant.” When he’s not playing Pokémon\, Cody enjoys pickup basketball. He seems to have a good sense of humour about his second place finish—after all\, he says\, “Ash doesn’t win tournaments with Greninja either.”
